That does it, fuck you I'm gone

Probably gonna be an impassioned hate filled post, with an extra order of f-bombs.

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM.

First Lotro with their fucking dumbass Microsoft Redist. 2005+ bullshit, which gets fixed by...
   1. Tell microsoft about it (like they seriously give a shit about 2005 when they've pulled support for Win 7 already.
   2. File a ticket to CS about it...of course their solution is...well, none actually.
So can't play. Congrats. No fucking money for you.

(now I know I'm only one person and in the greater scheme of things, big deal. However I bet you I'm not the only one and I'd say most don't bother to post about it. You know...the silent majority)

Now Swtor.
As if there fucking piss poor attitude toward potential subbers wasn't bad enough (like we don't want to hear from you AT ALL i.e. can't file tickets/bugs, post on forums et.al.) now they have a patching problem. Well, I won't say now because this exact same problem has been happening since 2011 with over 174 PAGES on the forums about it.

AND IT'S STILL NOT FUCKING FIXED.

Fuck you. It's not my JOB to make YOUR product fucking well work. You want people to play. Step one. MAKE SURE THEY CAN FUCKING INSTALL IT, PATCH IT, RUN IT.

And from what I saw, it was a rather small update, but it's not installing properly, laucher is stuck in a loop of 8hr repairs, yadda yadda yadda and guess what, just like microcunt, the repair tool didn't work. Big fucking surprise.

Ahh, that's better. Now on a positive note, signed up for beta on Elder Scrolls Online weehooo. So Bethsada if you're reading take note. Make your install for your game seriously idiot proof. Because if you don't I'm hanging up my pc-mmo gaming hat permanently.

Swtor...EA you're losing me...already

First off, nothing really wrong with the game...well some bugs, but that is not what is bugging me. (see what I did there).

OK, in the world of Swtor there are 3 classes of player.

The Citizens are the subbers and rightly so.

The Plebeians are preferred status players. (ex subbers or you've spend some money in the item store)

The Slaves are the F2pers.

I recently went from slave to pleb. I do believe that EA/Bioware would highly desire their Slaves and Plebs to become Citizens. Right?

Why would I when as a Slave or Pleb, I'm treated like shit by the company? Why would I give that company 12-15 bucks a month as a thank you for treating me so badly that I want to give you money so you'll treat me like...any other mmo company (which is generally crap in any case).

How am I being treated badly?

This is an mmo...no it's not, since they have done everything they can to make it solo play.

1. No who list (can't see who is on the same planet as you)
2. Can't mail others
3. Can't join a custom player made channel.
4. Can't post on the forums (my big problem now, since there is a animation glitch when dual wielding lightsabers)
5. Can't in-game bug a problem... harassment or ANYTHING.

It's like they just do not want to hear/listen from you at all, until you sub. Way to court new customers. I feel like I simply don't exist in the game and any input or questions I have are irrelevant. Well, figures. It's EA.

So, now I'm eagerly awaiting Elder Scrolls Online!

F2P in SWTOR

Well, I've been in the world of Star Wars for a couple of weeks now, as a pure f2p player, I hesitate to say that lest I incur the wroth of subscribers who may or may not view me as a sand person.

Just wanted to chime in on my own blog first because this might end up being a wall of text, of course which fourm browers hate to see.

So far, loving the game. Period. Met good people, had AMAZING fun doing a Flashpoint, most fun I've had in an mmo in a log time. So community, thumbs up.

The game itself, storyline, combat and group dynamics graphics (can't comment on graphics too much as not on my 'super comp' yet) all great and very enjoyable.

The limitations of being f2p. Yeah, this part sucks, but then I'm not paying a dime so who am to whinge? But then compared to Lotro's f2p model, this one really sucks.

Frankly the f2p + item store is the thing to do for mmos. Rumor has it Lotro's revenues tripled. Play base has increased and no, the quailty of the communtiy has not degraded. No. The sky did not fall. Yet with this supposed influx of cash, the game lags like a sloth in slow motion.

From the current restrictions why would I spend $5 to upgrade to preferred status? Preferred status gives be one extra hotbar...good, but $5, no extra character slots (I heard that might be changing, if I heard right it's from 2 to 6, if so...I'm spending money) Flashpoint, Warzone entry is the same, races the same (no biggie for me, I only play humans anyway) So basically for me. Nothing. Just Cartel coins to buy things. Like, hide my helmet....ya right. Just make a hellova ugly character and boom, no problem, those scars are permanelty covered over.

Who/chat functions. Who gives a shit. If there is will there is 1. A guild and 2. Ventrilo. Fin. Oh, and type /cjoin Ooc and this whole chat function crap is made redundant. Look, if it's an mmo, why take away the ability to socialize? Nuts.

Can't wear purple gear. Not a biggie until endgame, and that's redundant.

Update:
Well, there have been a few changes to preferred status after the update, which has caused me to plonk down some money. 6 characters, 4 quickbars, and that's worth it!

All in all, really enjoying the game and hope Swtor can mimick lotro's f2p model a bit more...cause it's a good one :p
